As part of the program of the 10th expert meeting of the UIC international working group for accident prevention, TreSP-Network visited the ALTPRO company in the new production facility in Velika Gorica on September 12, 2024.
A tour of the new modern production factory of signaling and safety equipment in Velika Gorica allowed the meeting participants to see the entire automated production process of both devices for level crossings, as well as all other systems, from the niche of infrastructure and vehicles, which makes railway traffic safer. After a tour of the facility, a presentation was held on the latest technological solutions in level crossings and accident prevention.
At the end of the expert meeting, Board member Tin Viduka pointed out: „It was an honor for us to host TreSP-Network experts in our new high-tech production facility and show them how our company contributes to the safety of rail traffic on a global level. Our products are tailor-made, developed according to the specific requirements of our partners. This technical meeting gave us the opportunity to show how the needs of our customers are transformed into concrete and innovative products, while satisfying functional, technical and safety aspects.“
The Trespass and Suicide Prevention Network (TreSP-Network) is UIC’s international working group for the prevention of accidents on the so-called “wild crossings” (eng. trespass) and suicides on the railway, which has about 80 active members, experts from all over the world. The main organizer of the meeting is the Faculty of Transport Sciences of the University of Zagreb as part of the project Model for designing traffic-technical road elements in the zone of level crossings.
