Our axle counters are devices for train detection by using inductive rail wheel sensors on the railway line. Axle counters are used in a wide variety of applications and have an important safety related role in railway traffic.
Due to its flexibility, low life cycle costs and additional functionalities, axle counters are increasingly used instead of track circuits worldwide. We offer safe and reliable SIL4 certified axle counting systems which confirm its quality in various markets and in various applications.

Outdoor Equipment
Our trackside equipment consists of wheel sensors and the corresponding trackside components. We offer different variants of axle counters, with varying amounts of trackside equipment, tailored to the application and customer requirements. Outdoor equipment is housed in IP-certified enclosures to ensure optimal protection and long service life.
Indoor Equipment
Our indoor equipment is designed to analyze data from the wheel sensors and distribute accurate information safely and reliably. The evaluation boards that make up the indoor equipment are entirely designed in-house at ALTPRO and have proven their performance.
