As part of its continued investment in railway infrastructure, HŽ Infrastruktura is carrying out a resignalling project on the Sisak Caprag – Novska section of the M502 railway line. The consortium of ALTPRO and Alstom has secured first place in the tender for the installation and integration of traffic management (PU) and signalling and safety (SS) infrastructure subsystems.
This section includes 54 level crossings, all of which will be modernized using ALTPRO’s state-of-the-art signalling systems.
The project plans to install a large amount of domestically produced equipment, including systems and components from ALTPRO, as well as from other Croatian manufacturers, which will further strengthen the domestic industry and stimulate high added value within the Croatian economy.
The partnership through a consortium with one of the world’s largest signalling companies represents a great recognition of the Croatian railway industry, as well as confirmation of the expertise and quality that ALTPRO continuously demonstrates on the domestic and international markets.
ALTPRO currently engaged in two major railway projects in Croatia
In addition to the Sisak–Novska project, ALTPRO is currently involved in two major infrastructure initiatives:
Križevci – Koprivnica – state border with Hungary
One of Croatia’s most strategic railway projects, this 42-kilometer section is part of the international Rijeka – Zagreb – Budapest corridor. Once completed, trains will reach speeds of up to 160 km/h. ALTPRO is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the entire traffic management and signalling and safety subsystem, ensuring high-performance and safe railway operations.
Modernization of more then 120 level crossings across Croatia
ALTPRO is also delivering and installing its RLC23 level crossing system at more then 120 locations throughout the country. The system is certified to the highest safety level SIL4 and includes all key components developed and manufactured in-house: central control unit, train detection system, half-barriers, barriers, and signals.
